Stephen Munive and the Munive Yachting team recently sold a 46 ft boat for us. We felt that Stephen and his team did an absolutely excellent, professional job of
marketing the boat, preparing it for each showing and handling the sales agreement and the closing.
Each time the boat was shown they arrived at the boat well before the
prospective buyer and took off all the covers, turned on lights, air conditioning, instruments, etc. After the showing they put the boat back together the way it had been.
My experience with other boat brokers is that few go to that much trouble in showing a boat.
Stephen in dealing with the sale agreement, survey and the closing was absolutely diligent at very juncture. An example of his diligence is that the company who was handling the closing claimed to have not received a FedEx package with our executed closing documents. FedEx says the documents were delivered. The company could not find the package and offered to do nothing to find it. Stephen was headed down to Ft. Lauderdale and said he was going to knock on every door in the office complex until he found the package. The package was found before he had to do that, but his commitment to get the job done impressed us a great deal. Almost no one goes that extra mile these days.

The Munive Experience

DAY 1

Initial Call

Boat sellers like you speak with Munive Yachting about listing your boat for sale on the open market. A listing agreement with Munive Yachting is executed to start the selling process.

DAY 2

Market Analysis

Munive Yachting analyzes the boat market by using historical global data and current global market data. A determination of fair market value, premium pricing and predicted sold price is established.

DAY 2-3

Listing Price Plan

You and the Munive Yachting team discuss the data received from the market analysis to determine the initial “asking price”. Factors include: time of year, inventory, demand, condition, options, brand popularity, location, etc.

DAY 3-4

Advertising Strategy

A photoshoot, multiple listing platforms, social media platforms, marine networks, and more, are all scheduled. Your boat specs, boat records, boat ownership info are gathered in our system.

DAY 5-10

Photoshoot & Listing Launch

Your FREE professional photoshoot is scheduled, edited, and formatted for all listing platforms and social media. It’s then released to the global public through various marketing channels.

DAY 8-60

Lead Generation

Leads are generated through various channels and qualified to move forward with the next step of the selling process.

DAY 9-60

Private Showings

When a lead enters our system and the potential buyer is qualified, a private showing is scheduled for your boat.

Negotiate Offers

All verbal and written offers are presented to you and if you agree, an executed purchase agreement is completed.

Open Escrow

Once an executed purchase agreement is completed, the buyer has 3 business days to submit a 10% deposit to escrow.

DAY 10-24

Survey & Sea Trial

A survey and sea trial is scheduled with a licensed vessel surveyor and certified engine surveyor. Within 48 hours, an official written report is delivered to the buyer to make a decision about your boat.

DAY 12-26

Acceptance of Vessel

If the buyer is satisfied with the results of the written survey and sea trial, he’ll sign an “acceptance of vessel”. If the survey and sea trial was not satisfactory, you and the buyer still have a chance to negotiate and come to terms on moving forward. If successful, a “conditional acceptance of vessel” is executed by you and the buyer.

DAY 13-60

Closing & Funding

After the acceptance of vessel is signed, a closing agent is hired by the buyer to prepare the closing documents for you and the buyer. The buyer prepares his financing, delivery, ownership and registration info, insurance, etc.

DAY 14-60

Scheduled Delivery

Once all documents are signed and funds have been released to you, the boat can be picked up by the buyer. The final easy step for you to do is cancel your insurance and think about your next bigger boat.
